Wedding photographer at
Château de la Boutinière

Château de la Boutinière, near Saint-Pierre-de-Maillé in the Vienne, is a fairytale of a venue we would love to photograph. Fifty-two acres of parkland and woodland, a château built for intimate, unhurried weddings. If you are marrying here, this is what we would bring.

Why la Boutinière suits the way we work

La Boutinière is made for the small, slow wedding, open lawns to the front, trees framing the estate behind, and accommodation on site so the whole thing feels like a house party rather than an event.

For documentary photography, that intimacy is everything. When the guest list is short and everyone stays, the day belongs to the couple, and so do the photographs.

Where your day photographs

The steps and gardens

Where the ceremony takes place, in fifty-two acres of parkland.

The wedding garden

A flower arch, a fountain and an illuminated pond, an English-run garden made for the day.

The barn and terrace

For the wedding breakfast and the evening celebration.

The grand dining hall

Long shared tables under one roof, intimate by design.

How we would photograph your day

We came to weddings from photojournalism. We observe, we anticipate, we capture what happens without interrupting it. No posing, no staging the facade, no asking anyone to do it again.

We always work as two. While one of us is at the ceremony, the other is watching the faces. That second pair of eyes is the difference between a record of the venue and a record of your day.
