Château de la Ferté-Saint-Aubin is a romantic Sologne château twenty minutes south of Orléans, on a forty hectare estate with gîtes on the grounds. From an intimate fifty to a full two hundred and fifty, it holds a wedding that unfolds over a weekend. One of the Loiret houses we would love to photograph.

The château
The château stands on a forty hectare estate in the Sologne south of Orléans, with lodging on site so the celebration can run from the Friday arrivals to the Sunday goodbyes.
Why la Ferté-Saint-Aubin suits the way we work
The Ferté gives you two very different rooms, and that range is a gift for documentary work: the Orangery, three hundred and twenty square metres opening onto the courtyard for a large seated dinner, and La Garenne, small and rustic for an intimate day. The forty hectares and the gîtes mean the wedding party actually lives here, and the honest life between the moments is where our pictures come from.
It is deep Sologne, forest and water and long soft light, the kind of place a couple takes for a weekend rather than an afternoon.

How we would photograph your day
We came to weddings from photojournalism. We observe, we anticipate, we capture what happens without interrupting it. No posing, no staging the facade, no asking anyone to do it again.
We always work as two. While one of us is at the ceremony, the other is watching the faces. That second pair of eyes is the difference between a record of the venue and a record of your day.
Getting there, and what it costs
We are based in Lencloître, in the Vienne, and travel regularly across France and Europe. Château de la Ferté-Saint-Aubin is in the Loiret; we quote travel there case by case, depending on distance and logistics, always transparently.
