Wedding photographer at
Château de Planchevienne
Château de Planchevienne, in Magny-Cours in the Nièvre, is a venue we would love to photograph. Its seventeenth century barn, Les Écuries, keeps its Burgundy stone floors and centuries-old timber framing, lit softly at night. If you are marrying here, here is what we would bring.
Why Planchevienne suits the way we work
Les Écuries is a photographer’s room: old Burgundy stone underfoot, exposed walls, heavy timber framing that catches warm light after dark, the kind of evening reception that photographs like a painting.
The barn takes anywhere from thirty to three hundred guests, and with the château and farmhouse sleeping the wedding party, the celebration keeps going long after the last course.
Where your day photographs
Les Écuries
Seventeenth century converted stables, Burgundy stone floors and exposed beams, thirty to three hundred guests.
The château
A private dining space for a smaller gathering, up to twenty-eight.
The farmhouse
The Ferme de Planchevienne, for additional events, up to twenty.
The grounds
A park with a heated pool, boxwood and hydrangea gardens.
How we would photograph your day
We came to weddings from photojournalism. We observe, we anticipate, we capture what happens without interrupting it. No posing, no staging the facade, no asking anyone to do it again.
We always work as two. While one of us is at the ceremony, the other is watching the faces. That second pair of eyes is the difference between a record of the venue and a record of your day.
