Wedding photographer at
Château des Grotteaux

Château des Grotteaux stands at Huisseau-sur-Cosson, fifteen minutes east of Blois inside the Chambord triangle. A 1620 Loire château, sometimes called the smallest of the great châteaux, with a park crossed by the Cosson river. One of the Loir-et-Cher venues we would love to photograph.

From our own weddings. We have not yet photographed here, and we would love to.

The château

Built in 1620, the Grotteaux is a classic small Loire château set in a river park within the Chambord, Blois and Cheverny triangle, the dense heart of the Loire Valley wedding country.

Why les Grotteaux suits the way we work

The Grotteaux is made for a photographer who walks: a park of century old trees, the Cosson running through it, an Eiffel-style footbridge, an old mill, vineyard slopes. That is a dozen different backdrops within one estate, each with its own light, for portraits that never repeat.

The orangery seats a hundred and ten and the day carries up to two hundred for the cocktail, and the owners run the place in English for the international couples who find it.

Where your day photographs

The park and the Cosson

Century old trees and a river running through, an Eiffel footbridge and a mill, a dozen backdrops in one estate.

The orangery

Up to a hundred and ten seated, a bright room opening onto the park.

The 1620 façade

A calm classical front for an arrival or a wide portrait.

The vineyard slopes

Rows and low light at the edge of the estate for the couple away from the guests.

How we would photograph your day

We came to weddings from photojournalism. We observe, we anticipate, we capture what happens without interrupting it. No posing, no staging the facade, no asking anyone to do it again.

We always work as two. While one of us is at the ceremony, the other is watching the faces. That second pair of eyes is the difference between a record of the venue and a record of your day.
