Domaine de l'Écorcerie sits in a twenty-five hectare wooded estate ten minutes from Poitiers, close to home in the Vienne. A nineteenth century chapel at its heart, and room for everyone to stay. It is a venue we would love to photograph, and here is how we would work.
Why l'Écorcerie suits the way we work
The chapel gives you a ceremony with real architecture and real light, and the surrounding woods give the day a sense of being apart from everything. It is an intimate scale, around a hundred guests, which documentary photography thrives on: fewer people, more closeness, nothing to hide behind.
With thirty-two beds on the estate, the celebration does not end when the music stops, and neither does the story worth photographing.

How we would photograph your day
We came to weddings from photojournalism. We observe, we anticipate, we capture what happens without interrupting it. No posing, no staging the facade, no asking anyone to do it again.
We always work as two. While one of us is at the ceremony, the other is watching the faces. That second pair of eyes is the difference between a record of the venue and a record of your day.
Getting there, and what it costs
l'Écorcerie is under an hour away. We live in Lencloître, in the Vienne, and travel to weddings in the Vienne and the Loire Valley is included in our packages, with no surcharge.
Our packages start at 3,190 €, both photographers for the full day, all edited images included.
