Domaine de Villemont is right on our doorstep, a family wine estate in Mirebeau, in the Haut-Poitou vineyards north of Poitiers. Vines, an honest reception hall, the Envigne valley below. Of all the venues near us, this is one we would most love to photograph.
Why Villemont suits the way we work
Villemont is a working wine domaine, not a staged backdrop, and that is exactly what documentary photography wants. The vineyards run to the horizon, the light over the Envigne valley turns gold late in the day, and the Salle Saint Bacchus keeps the plain, honest character of a family estate rather than a decorated hall.
It suits a warm, unpretentious celebration of around a hundred and fifty guests, the kind of day where the wine on the table was made a few metres from where you are sitting.

How we would photograph your day
We came to weddings from photojournalism. We observe, we anticipate, we capture what happens without interrupting it. No posing, no staging the facade, no asking anyone to do it again.
We always work as two. While one of us is at the ceremony, the other is watching the faces. That second pair of eyes is the difference between a record of the venue and a record of your day.
Getting there, and what it costs
Villemont is barely twenty minutes away. We live in Lencloître, in the Vienne, and travel to weddings in the Vienne and the Loire Valley is included in our packages, with no surcharge.
Our packages start at 3,190 €, both photographers for the full day, all edited images included.
