Montreuil-Bellay is one of the loveliest fortified towns in Anjou, set above the Thouet just south of Saumur, and its château is a genuine wedding venue rather than a museum. It is part of the Loire Valley we cover from home in the Vienne.
The town itself is the backdrop here: ramparts, the river, narrow streets and a château that still lives. A wedding among all that has a storybook quality, and the best way to keep it from feeling like a set is to photograph it as it happens, quietly, from the inside.
Montreuil-Bellay is a fortified château town on the Thouet, south of Saumur, its ramparts and old streets made for the walk between ceremony and dinner. It is Anjou wine country, generous and unshowy, at the western edge of what we cover.

We came to weddings from photojournalism. We observe, we anticipate, we capture what happens without interrupting it. No posing, no staging, no asking anyone to do it again.
We always work as two. While one of us is at the ceremony, the other is watching the faces. That second pair of eyes is the difference between a record of a place and a record of your day.
